how to achieve this stutter effect on a snare with ezdrummer 3

    Seems to me like it’s done by hitting the snare more than once

    Thanks for responding. I was just looking at a video on double stroke rolls, one of the rudiments. And from what I learned, the strokes after the initial stroke are rebound strokes.

    I’m thinking that may be what is happening in the clip I posted. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

    How do I do that in ezdrummer 3?

    Is it as simple as creating 4 snare hits and reducing the velocity of each hit in order? So first hit is loudest, second hit a little quieter etc?

    Is there a better way?

    BEST ANSWER

    That’s a ghost note after that fourth snare hit. If you’re programming, throw a 16th note in there after that snare hit and move the velocity down.
