Hey guys…

I have an Alesis Strike SE PRO drum kit and the Alesis Strike Multipad.

Since I’m running a few more trigger pads, I’m wondering whether I can connect both modules in standalone mode and control both in parallel in the EZD 3.

Is that possible or not?

If so, how can I set it up?

Sorry for the possibly bad English, but I work with a translator.

I would be very grateful for a quick help.

Hi,

AFAICT you can use both modules connected as USB MIDI interfaces, so you would Enable both in the Audio/MIDI Setup in EZdrummer 3.
However, you cannot assign instruments and articulations per interface in a single instance of EZdrummer 3, so you will need to perform some manual MIDI note assignment in one of the modules if you want to use both your kit and the Multipad to trigger instruments in the one instance.
I would start with selecting the Alesis Strike Pro MIDI Preset and then add what instruments and articulations you wish to trigger from the Multipad and make sure you assign notes not used by the kit to the pads on the Multipad.

Another option would be to use some kind of host for live use and assign one instance to the kit module MIDI input and another instance to the Multipad input and then only load necessary instruments in each.
