I get a lot of latency on the laptop I am running, does anyone have a recommendation for a sound card for this combo for a tower so i can clear this up?

I’m a little confused by your question. Are you asking for a recommendation for an audio interface for the laptop or for a desktop computer to replace the laptop? It’s hard to give an answer without knowing what you already have in the way of the computer and what your I/O capabilities are. Are you talking USB, Firewire or what? Also price point enters into the answer as well.

We’ve been running just a regular Focusrite Saffire soundcard in church for many years now with no noticeable latency(Superior 2, now EZ3 soon to be S3 again). Even with an old laptop and edirol Roland sound card, it was also fine. No special configuration really. It just works. Windows machines.
