Hi,
I am trying to us a macro to bind all of my multi outputs to one macro knob so that I can adjust all of these regardless of which Tab I am in. I have bound output levels to the one macro however when I use this macro knob, it brings all outputs to the same level and then adjusts all equally from here – but it doesn’t retain the original level differences or relativety.
Is this achievable with a Macro or am I doing something wrong.
If I choose all outputs in the mixer tab and then adjust one fader, it will adjust all faders and keep the relativety (until one of them reaches maximum or minimum) however I can only do this in the mixer tab – hence my desire to use a macro to do this.

Unless someone from TT steps in to correct me, I believe that macros control absolute values and not relative. What you are seeing is pretty much expected behavior.
Considering that you are going multi out, why not control your outputs within your DAW? If your DAW has a VCA feature, then you should be able to achieve the effect that you are looking for.

Thanked by: Andrew PayneHi,
As I see it, you can’t use 1 macro to control more than one item which is what you are actually trying to do. The moment you set a value to the macro, say volume, then it will adjust all of the bound objects to that one value. Use the multi output function in SD3 to allocate DAW tracks to each instrument and then automate etc. from within those tracks.
Hope this helps, David
Yes, you can use macros to control more than one item in different ways. You can also set the absolute values in which each item can be controlled. You just can’t use them to control items in a relative manner.
