I am new to EZDRUMMER 3. Seen great things online and videos about it. I own a hybrid drum kit –
Tama Drum Kit – Drumtec Mesh Heads – Roland Triggers
Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 2nd Gen (Interface)
Roland TD-30 (Module)
Zildjian Cymbals – Overheads to capture them
The problem I’m having is the focusrite interface is constantly crashing both within EZDRUMMER 3 and LOGIC PRO when I’m using them. I have tried messing around with several different settings, re-insalled drivers, bought a new MIDI cable etc, but it keeps crashing. I’m using a iMAC 2018, 16 gig of ram, 1 TB of storage.
So when the interface disconnects, in the headphones I can still hear the overheads picking up the cymbals but the mesh heads no longer a being triggered by EZDRUMMER. Give it a hot 2 mins and it’s working again, until the same cycle happens.
I really am looking for a resolve on this now, it’s been over a week and it’s beyond frustrating
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Ben
Saying that you’ve messed with settings does not give onlookers any idea of where you’re at or your experience level.
Have you maxxed out your buffer setting just to see if the system stabilizes? I’m curious about the only spec you did not list which is CPU.

Might this be a Ventura compatibility issue or an issue with running Ventura on a 2018 iMac? See: https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/macos-13-ventura-compatibility-guide/
I haven’t upgraded to Ventura on my 2019 iMac, and have had no issues.

Are you saying that the interface driver is crashing? Have you tried resetting your audio preferences?
Is Logic Pro crashing when you run EZDrummer 3 as a plug-in? Is EZDrummer 3 crashing when you run it standalone (without Logic running at the same time)?
Was this happening with Logic when you ran Monterey? (Assumption on my part that you upgraded to Ventura from Monterey)
