    Hi,

this type of error message usually comes up when the user has first installed and then moved or copied the VST .dll file to a custom folder instead of the one initially installed to.
Have you moved or copied any components?

Have you tried re-downloading and re-installing the EZdrummer 3 software (not the Core Library)?

Hey! No i didn’t move anything. I even re-installed everything including EZDrummer 3, 1 expansion and the core library. I did that a few times actually. Even tried changing up the order of installation from the 3 components, but nothing helped. I tried to uninstall the core library and expansion but that didn’t work. It says it’s installed but i have to download it… I deleted all toontrack folders before every reinstallation. None of it helped. I really don’t understand what to do. I updated everything but it still says version 3.0.5 is jot compatible with version 3.0.4. Reinstalling EZDrummer 3 never helped.

    Thanks, Erik.

Hi, sorry to hi-jack your thread but I’m getting the same error message on the stand alone version  and I’ve been running ezdrummer for a while – the VST 3, AU and AAX are all on version 3.0.5 but the standalone is on 3.0.3. In the Toontrack manager it says I need to update to version 3.0.5 for the standalone. I’ve downloaded the update but even after the installer says the “software has been successfully installed” I’m still asked to update.

The option to uninstall isn’t visible either. It has “No uninstaller available” written next to it

    Hi cearnaigh,

please check the ‘Customize’ step during the installation type and make sure that the Standalone is checked.EZD3_Install_1

Thank you for that John. Standalone was unchecked when I looked at the customised options

Thank you John. I just want to get this solved and get working with the software. Still can’t figure out what to do to get it working…..

I have attached the screenshot of my error message.

    Hi Erik,

In Toontrack Product Manager, could you go to EZDrummer 3 > Show Details > Installation Info. What are the versions displayed. (Note: Please don’t post the serial number, which also displayed in the window)

Thanks…. hmmm are you running the standalone application or as a plug-in from inside a DAW when you get the error message, or does it matter?

    Hey! Screenshot is attached below!

    Good morning!
That looks normal, unfortunately. So this what I suggest.

uninstall EZDrummer 3, just the software, application and plugins. ( you shouldn’t need to uninstall the core library).

go into Product Manager and use the ‘Clean Up’ button to remove all Toontrack downloads.

Download a fresh copy of the EZD3 install package and (as you can guess) reinstall.

Hey Brad! Thanks for the reply. I am doing so right now. Just to be clear of any confusion, and this may be a dumb question but where exactly do i download a fresh install package of EZDrummer 3 itself? The only option i see is in Product Manager itself. (Screenshot below)

I uninstalled EZDrummer via the uninstaller in Windows, but it still shows up as installed in My Products on my account at http://www.toontrack.com. In Product Manager it looks like this (see screenshot below).

    Kind regards,

    Erik
