Hi,
Until now, I used this configuration to play :
Roland TD-25 (MIDI OUT) > Roland Rubix 22 external sound card (MIDI IN) > MACBOOK PRO (USB CABLE) with SD3
and it work well. I just get a Roland TM-2 to expand my drum set and have some issues.
The first problem is connecting the TD-25 with the TM-2. If I do this :
TD-25 MIDI OUT > TM-2 MIDI IN>TM-2 MIDI OUT > Roland Rubix 22 MIDI IN (all in Midi Channel 10) and not working. No response from the TM-2 on SD3.
Anyone get also this problem or can explain to me where to start to solve that ?
Thank you !
René
Check the midi settings on the td25 and make sure it has midi thru enabled. Hopefully it has this feature which the td30 has.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
Hi Mark,
Thank you for helping, yes you’re right, there is no midi thru on TD-25 so I need to create a MIDI IN with a Kenton Midi USB Host which use the USB of the TD-25 to get a MIDI IN and OUT and then maybe it works.
Does anyone tried this configuration ?
A midi merger would work as well with two midi ins. Or a 2nd midi interface to get two midi ins.
