Hey guys, need some help on the fly as this bug is killing me in the middle of a session.
Specs for this:
MacBook Pro M1 Pro 16gb ram
12.6
Protools 2022.10 studio
most up to date version of sd3
Clarett interface
Running SD3 in a small ish rock session in Protools. MIDI is all tracked for the drums. Everything was fine until SD3 just started to stop playing in random parts of the song. Tried making a new track, copying the midi into it, but it causes the same issues. Tried restarting, rebooting, importing into a new session etc. SD3 just keeps randomly dropping out. Tried different buffer settings, different interfaces. I can’t seem to figure it out! I’m guessing it’s more of a Protools issue then sd3 but thought maybe someone has ran into this before?
Please help as I need to get this back up to finish this session!
Much appreciated.

Any other plugins on the tracks SD3 is inserted on?
Would you be able export the drum midi and post it here. (In a zip file) or the pro tools session file with all other instrument tracks removed.

Where are your samples located? Do you have SD3 set to load everything or stream from disc? If you have the ram then use ‘load entire kit’ or whatever it’s called in SD3.
Here’s a thought: why not just render the MIDI to audio?

Try a new session and Import Session Data from the one that’s giving you trouble. Maybe that will flush out anything corrupt.

What probably isn’t helping things any is that the last few revisions of PT have had MIDI issues.

Hey guys. Not sure what resolved it, but I got it working again after recreating the entire drum chain (aux and busses etc) and copying the midi into SD3 itself and not in Protools.

If the MIDI is set in stone why not just keep the MIDI in PT and render it to audio there?
