Hello,
I am using the EZDrummer 3 plug-in with Logic Pro and hearing clipping sounds when recording Roland E-Drums.
It does not happen in the standalone app, only in Logic Pro when recording a instrument track. I checked the obvious thing like input levels, all good there. Same problem when listening thru headphones so not the monitors.
It is also not the E-Drums (I think) since I hear the same clipping sound when playing/testing the drums directly in the plug-in with a mouse.
I am using a Scarlett 18i20 interface and the E-Drums are connected directly via USB.
Thanks!
the master volume in the plug-in is at 0.0db, and the peak volume on the track (and stereo out) is -0.3db
Hi,
doesn’t lowering the volume a tad solve it? It would be the first thing I would try if I had something clipping in my mixer. What else is in the signal path in the mixer?
BR,
John

I thought that’s what your levels would be. Bring them all down to -12dB, even the output. That will give you lots of room for boosting any EQ. Export at -12dB.
When you master them, the output needs to peak at -9bB for streaming, -6dB for CD and 0dB for radio. Put limiter on the output channel, to even out the peak levels.
