    When you say “it does it turn them down“ what do you mean by “it”? The hat channel? The amount of signal in the overheads/rooms? Have you checked the amount of bleed in other instrument mics? The signal can show up in a lot of mics.

    Turning down the hi-hat fader only turns down the close micing. You are probably hearing them through the OH and Ambient channels. As was mentioned, you will have to check the volume of those routes in each of the channels.

    An alternative would be to lower the HH Instrument level on the DRUMS page. This would lower the volume in all enabled channels.
