Hard to tell as you didn’t provide enough details as to your system, buffer settings, etc

Give us more info so we can help you better. I have EZD running smoothly on a 2012 MBP, so it’s not your computer.

I’m running it in buffer 512 with a UAD Volt 2 usb device. I’m guessing it’s the device as it runs fine when I use the Apollo Twin x from my main setup.

I’ve had ez running fine in older computers too so it seems a little odd that this one is struggling. I’ve just updated to ez3 so I didn’t know if it’s more intensive in the graphics of something. It can’t even preview grooves without stuttering using the volt 2.

im in touch with UAD about it. First comms is to check my plugins. EZ is literally the only plug-in loaded in a two track project. The audio device is class compliant so not expecting new drivers soon. Shame as I bought this to be my portable mobile device.

My Volt 276 runs just fine with EZD3 on my MPB. I’ve been recording a bunch of tracks on it without any issues. There has to be something else. Are you using any external drives? If so, what type?
