Although I love Toontrack and their products, I often find myself using SD3’s arranger and grid editor to write grooves, and then use the MIDI Out feature to send said grooves to other drum samplers I might be using on that project. This works great in SD3, as when you change the MIDI Mapping keys, it actually applies those changes to the outputted MIDI notes. However, with all of the awesome features that EZ3 has added, I’m really wanting to try to do the same thing with it. The problem I’m running into is that while you can remap the incoming MIDI in EZ3 (for E-Drums and whatnot), there doesn’t seem to be away to apply these alternative mappings to the outgoing MIDI. No matter what I change in the MIDI map, if I click on the kick drum, it only sends out C1 via MIDI Out. Is it possible to apply alternate mappings to the MIDI output, or is that a Superior-only feature?
Hi,
the MIDI Presets for transforming is for incoming MIDI only, the same applies to Superior Drummer 3. There was a plugin a long time ago called EZplayer Pro that had a lot of transforming features but has been long discontinued, I’m afraid.

That’s what I figured. However, Superior does have a separate remapping system from the incoming MIDI remapping that will apply to outbound MIDI, but this is obviously absent from EZ3. I do have a license for EZPlayer Pro! I wonder if it will still work on newer systems…
