Hi, first time poster here. Been using EZ drummer for years and never had a problem. But now I’m hearing a loud pop that seems to be coming from the kick drum that happens when I first start recording in Pro Tools. For example, I’ve got my drums grooves set up, I’ve got the 2 bar count off set in Pro Tools and I’m ready to record guitar. But after the 2 bar count off I’m getting a crazy loud “bang” from the kick drum just on the first beat. WTF? Never had this issue before. I’m running a new version of Pro Tools on a new computer so I’m wondering if it’s something off in my settings.
Any ideas?
Hi,
long time Pro Tools user here. I have only experienced something similar a veeery long time ago when I had some system issues causing the MIDI buffer to fill up, IOW not something connected with EZdrummer but the system and it was sporadic, not consistent.
I am wondering if there by any chance could be that you have accidentally had Step Input active and simply filled that “bang” section with a lot of notes?
What does the MIDI look like? If you want me to have a look, zip archive the session (just the session without any audio files) and attach to a post here.

John

Thanked by: Nick LaytonHi there, thanks for your reply. I’ve tried just about everything I know to do and still have no idea what’s going on.
I’ve attached the zipped session for you to take a look.
Thanks!
Nick
