I recently downloaded & installed some MIDI packs I hadn’t downloaded since buying a while back, and now I’m getting an issue where there’s no grooves at all in Superior Drummer 3! I run Reaper, and I had one an instance of SD3 running as a plugin on a Reaper track while I was installing the MIDI packs from the Toontrack product manager. But then when I switched windows back over to Reaper, it had a prompt open saying it was installing MIDI packs. I ignored it and came back to it later, with it stuck on text saying “Installing MIDI pack 44 of 44 (Action EZX)” (I had also downloaded & installed the Action drums EZX for the first time on this machine since I bought it, not sure if that’s specifically relevant or not). It never went away, so I eventually added a new track to Reaper, added SD3 on that track, and it immediately had no grooves available at all and said “Waiting for another instance of SD3 to finished” or something to that effect. So, I closed Reaper entirely, opened it fresh with a brand new project & added a new track with SD3 and this time on the Grooves tab it says “Updating MIDI database… Installing MIDI pack 1/44”. It’s not going anywhere past 1/44. I closed Reaper once more, restarted my PC, and then opened up SD3 in stand-alone instead of as a plug-in, and it’s doing exactly the same thing: “Installing MIDI pack 1/44” forever. If I go to Settings > Advanced > Restore MIDI Database… I can’t do it because it’s grayed out and hourglassing underneath that as well saying:
“Updating MIDI database – 0 of 6 steps completed
Installing MIDI pack 1 of 44…”
And just stuck there forever.
What do I do?
