  Hi folks,

  • in Cubase 11 Pro I created an instrument track for EZ Drummer 3 and one for Superior Drummer 3.
  • I enabled MIDI Out in EZD 3.
  • On the SD3 track I set EZD3 MIDI Out as input.
  • I chose “empty kit” in EZD3 to only hear the sounds from SD3.
  • Now I can use the new EZD3 humanize feature with the sounds of SD3. Works. Cool.
  • But when I play notes on the keyboard to play in some fills, I don’t hear any sound.
  • When I load sounds in EZD3 they play as expected from the keyboard, but the notes I play on the keyboard don’t trigger sounds from SD3.
  • I tried activating and deactivating the monitor buttons on each and on both the drum tracks, still not working.

  Any ideas?

  Is this a bug that the MIDI Out only plays only the notes form the grooves tab and from the EZD3 track, but not the notes one plays / records in realtime on the keyboard?
