EZD3 has the ability to create custom mappings. Find out how the articulations are mapped in SSD and enter them in EZD3 and save your custom map. From then on, you can recall it when using grooves from SSD.

Just for fun, I tried to make one from what scarce info I had regarding the mapping. Try it and see if it works. Unzip the attached file into your User Mapping Presets folder – click ‘Manage in Finder’ to open it. Rescan and you should be able to apply it to User MIDI folders.

    Hi John

    Tried your mapping,

got a glitch between the hi hat and snare,  closed tip hat is translating to a snare hit? In the screen shot the first 4 bars are what the SSD5 should be, second 4 bars are what its coming out as even though G3 and note 67 is correct mapping for closed tip.

    Thanks Ronny

    Hi,

which note number is transformed incorrectly?

Can you zip and attach the MIDI file here?

Looks like the Closed tip hihat 67 G3 is ending up as a snare hit

SSD5 beat 02 is from SSD5, the other is how it comes out in EZ3 with the SSD5 Test preset

just tried a few other grooves, seems the hats aren’t playing nice with the snares??

    Hi,

sorry for the delay but I couldn’t find any error.

First, when I load both your provided MIDI files in Logic and examine them, they look exactly the same, at least note-wise.
Second, when I listen with the test preset and record from the Logic track onto the EZD3 Song Track, it both sounds and looks OK.

Please listen to the MP3 and look at the Grid Editor screen shot.SSD5_map_grid

    Hi

Strangely it wouldn’t work for me but now i’ve come back to it, it does??

Thanks again (you wouldn’t have BFD3 mapping would you? (preys)

Try the one attached, it is probably a bit messy but *should* work in general. I hope. I haven’t got anything to test on.
