    Hi,

why don’t you send him a Project file with the MIDI on the Song Track? A Project file contains all settings and MIDI and it doesn’t have to be placed in a particular location.

    John

That sounds pretty easy. I am a midi newbie. Can you explain how I prepare and send a project file? Right now the midi is on an instrument track in my DAW.

    Hi there,

File > Save as (or File > Save A Copy)

Projects saved from the file menu include essentially everything that you see in all of EZdrummer 3’s tabs. This includes items that an EZD3 Preset (loaded from the Presets selection menu) would not. Saved in an EZD3 Project are the following:

    • Drums selected
    • Song Track
    • Groove Tab filters
    • Selected grooves
    • Edit Play Style State
    • Grid editor adjustments
    • Mixer Tab.
    • Bandmate Tab.
    • Global settings and window sizes / scale
    • Master Volume
    • MIDI learn

You can record MIDI from your DAW to the EZD3 Song Track, just click the REC button and then play in your DAW.

Thanks all. Recording the MIDI into EZD3 and saving the project did the trick including all the aftertouch like cymbal chokes. Now we can share files and get to work.
