If you wish you can turn them down.

You must use those FX/levels inside EZD. Though you could just set all the levels to unity and just use your DAW from there.

Only other thing I can think of for you is if you have a hardware controller, Midi Learn the knobs from EZD and control them from your hardware.

Thanks Shootie, So I could lowers those knobs to zero then insert my own effects in Logic right? Or would it be better to use EZs effects?

Are you the one with the YouTube videos? They have been very helpful.

You can use both if you want. That’s what I do at times. I will often use EZ’s effects on the drums and quite often buss it out into into Logic to a UAD 175 & Studer A800 plug-in.

Yes you could. Similar to what Bear is suggesting.

If you have good Logic chops, you may want to use minimal EZD effects processing and stick to what you know in Logic. Otherwise, use the EZ Mixer FX or even a hybid of both. Your asking about something in which there’s no standard, just play to your strengths or what is intuitive to you. If you’re new, flip a coin, literally, and get started.

    Great to hear, thank you!

And in addition to Shootie’s wise words:

Always go by the notion that if it sounds good, then it is good. If it sounds good, then it doesn’t matter where the processing was applied.

Thank you for you replies. Just wanted to make sure there wasn’t any specifics to Multitrack out.

I think it’s safe to say… When the EZD3 Mixer starts limiting you for whatever reason, you then route it out to the channels in your DAW so you can apply the tools that Logic offers.

There are no rules. Just remember that some of the best music moments happened by accident.

I found a way to adjust the Bleed, Parallel Comp and Tape. In Logic there is Smart Controls (Left of 3 knobs in the image) . I opened that up and renamed the knobs to match in EZ mixer. Now I can adjust without opening EZ window.

Not a Logic guy, but that is cool to know.

You can also use a single smart control to control multiple aspects of EZD’s effects, or a combination of EZD’s & Logic’s parameters. You can also bind and automate it.

What is a single smart control? How do you do that?

By single smart control, I am saying you can tie a bunch of things into one knob.

Ok, That’s a good idea too. I wish there was a way to learn the sliders of the EZ mixer from Logic.
