Do you have projects that use EZD2 that you want to open? If so, I wouldn’t uninstall it.

Please purchase the EZD3 Upgrade. Use the Toontrack Product Manager to register, download, install, and authorize.

I’m in the same boat as the OP, but I actually DON’T have any EZD2 projects. (I only got EZD2 just before the EZD3 launch w/the included upgrade.) Is there any reason I need to keep EZD2 on my machine? Will I still have access to the EZD2 library without it?

    Thanks.

You don’t need to have the EZD2 program installed. You can simply install the EZdrummer 2 Core Library EZX that is in your Toontrack Product Manager to have access to the EZD2 sound library and MIDI without the EZD2 plugin.

On my PC under Apps I have an EZ Drummer 2 version 2.0.2 that is 3.33GB and also an EZ Drummer 2 update that is 299 MB.   Do I need both of those? Or can I delete the first one.  I do have projects using EZ Drummer 2.

Note i also have EZ Drummer 3.

Goal is I’m trying to free up space.

    Thank you!

If you have projects using the EZD2 plugin that you continue to need access to, then I wouldn’t delete anything.

Scott, I just upgraded to v3. Would the v2 core library offer any kits that are sonically better than v3 core? I’m into vintage.

Every library has there own sonic plusses and minuses. I see no reason why you wouldn’t want both.

It’s not really about better in the absolute here. It’s more about finding something that best fits the project at hand. And it’s not just about the kit itself. The producer, studio and recording method and gear all play a part. Even the old EZX’s such as Rock Solid and Southern Soul are finding their way into my work.
