Mixcraft 9 Pro and EZ line of products playback issue

Question about using EZxxxx from Toontrack with Mixcraft 9 Pro. Key, Drummer and Bass.

When I set the VST to follow host it will often not play, if I solo the track then unsolo it will play fine. This is when not laying midi on the track but using the built in tracks from the VST.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Mixcraft 9 Pro is unfortunately not on the supported hosts list, so I do not have any insight on that particular host.
Have you made sure you are using the latest versions of your Toontrack software?
Could there possibly be a setting in Mixcraft that sort of “suspends” VSTi:s or “release” of the audio driver, when there is nothing on the DAW track and nothing is sent to the plug-in via the DAW for a while?

Everything is up to date. I don’t think Mixcraft has that option but even if it did it would not be the case since behavior inconsistent.

If you load e.g. the EZdrummer 2 plug-in in Mixcraft and then go into the About MENU in the upper right hand corner of the interface, what does the first lines tell you?
