I’m trying to add an EZKeys MIDI to EZBass to create a bass part to match. I’ve been following Toontrack’s own EZBass video for this: ‘EZBass – The Drums & Keys and Keys Tab’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJHTkhO0mzE&t=2s
First, in this video I notice that the standalone versions of both EZKeys and EZBass are used and are not used in a DAW in this instance.
Having opened both standalone of EZKeys and EZBass, as in the video, I then dragged or added an EZKeys MIDI to EZBass, as shown in the video, I then drag this to an EZBass track also as shown. In the video, he then clicks on EZKeys ‘Play’ button and the EZKeys file plays with EZBass adding a bass part.
When I click on the ‘EZKeys’ Play button, just EZKeys plays with no bass part added. I have viewed and studied this video and searched online over and over for hours but can find no information or clue as to what he did in the video for both EZKeys and EZBass to play.
There must be some setting somewhere that I’m missing and is not shown in the video. I’d appreciate any help with this.
Thanks

A DAW is being used, it’s probably just minimized. The “Follow Host” icon is highlighted in the Transport area.

This is correct. Both EZbass and EZkeys will sync in a DAW when “Follow Host” in both interfaces is active.
