    Hi,

    same here: I am using

    Ableton Live Suite 11 (11.1.1 build: 2022-03-03)
Windows 10 Pro (Version 20H2, latest updates installed)
    EZKeys version 1.3.3 – 32 and 64bit installed

I installed EZBass and EZKeys, but I cannot find/access EZKeys in my DAW (Ableton Live 11). I cannot find any DLL for the EZKeys 64bit version, but only for the 32-bit version, see Folder screenshot. But neither the 64-bit nor the 32-bit version appears under “Plugins” in ableton. EZBass shows up correctly in the DAW, and works fine. EZkeys works well in stand-alone mode, but it doesn’t show in my DAW.

I also started the stand-alone EZKeys, clicked on “Help / Show Plug-In Path”…but there’s no way to get the EZKeys plugin showing up in ableton. I tried to copy the DLL to the VST3 folder, also tried pointing to the path showed in the stand-alone version (see screenshot).

How can I solve this EZKeys problem?
Do you need further infos/data to analyze this issue?
    Thanks,
    Thomas

Start the EZkeys 64-bit standalone and select Help > Show Plug-In Path. This shows where the VST (2) is. Set the custom VST2 folder in Ableton Live preferences to this location. If you need to use other VST 2 plug-ins which are in another location, it should be possible to use multiple locations by using folder shortcuts, according to this: https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=221857

Thomas, you seem to have misconfigured the folders in Ableton Live a bit. You have selected a custom VST 3 location which points to where 64-bit VST 2 plug-ins are (only EZbass and Toontrack Audio Sender in your screenshot, but VST 3 versions of those also exist in the standard VST 3 folder). You should not need a custom VST 3 location at all, since all should be installed in the standard location, so turn off “Eigener VST3-Plug-In-Ordner”. As VST 2 custom folder you have selected a 32-bit location. You can change this to where the EZkeys 64-bit plug-in is (as shown by the standalone).

    Hi Olof,

Thanks for resolving this issue, now the plugin works fine.

I also started the stand-alone EZKeys, clicked on “Help / Show Plug-In Path”…but I linked it wrongly in ableton to the VST3 folder. Linking it to VST2 resolved the problem, thank you.
