My trusty old 2012 i7 MacMini was getting old and warm and I thought that I should replace it before it died.
The new one i MacMini M1 256GB/16GB along with a an external Samsung T7 2TB SSD drive. The idea is to keep all audio files and all samples own the external drive.
So my question is: How can I make sure that all my SD3 librarys are installed on the large external SSD drive instead of the small internal drive.
Hi,
if you are installing your libraries from scratch, just use the Product Manager and select the external drive as the location when running the installer(s).
If you are copying from your old Mac, please copy the ‘SL-Xxxxx’ folder with all its content intact to the new location and then open SD3 and go to Settings > Libraries/Paths and set the new location for the copied libraries.

Thanks.
I am doing a clean install from scratch, but I didn’t notice that I could set the location when I started the download… Can you please advice how I can uninstall all the SD3 libraries, so I can try again?
Or can I perhaps move my SD3 libraries from the internal drive to the external drive and then change the path in SD3?

Superior Drummer 3 version: 3.2.8
Operating system: macOS Monterey (12)
Yes. As described above, Settings > Libraries/Paths.
