I have the latest SD3 running on an M1 MBP OS Monterey. I use Gig performer and in that gig project, I have several instances of SD3. Gig performer is a virtual plugin host so I am able to run plugins that feed into other plugins.
I’m trying to have one instance of SD3 running latin percussion to get fed midi from a midi player. The idea here is that when the midi player plays a midi loop it will trigger the instance of SD3. This way I can easily switch between midi loops using the software, rather than trying to control the inner mechanics of SD3 if I want to change midi loops.
So when I do this, I use the groove tabs to put a midi region into SD3. Then I’ll export the track as midi. Then I load that midi into the midi player that feeds midi to SD3 and delete the midi region that was inside SD3.
When I do this, some midi loops trigger the original instrument, while other midi loops trigger other instruments. They all play the right pattern, but unfortunately don’t trigger the right instrument all the time. Is there something I should be aware of when trying to do this?
