Is there a setting that adjusts how fills are drug-and-dropped? Let’s say I’ve got a 1 beat space for a fill and the fill I drag in last for 2 beats, when I drag it in, it just loads the entire fill and shifts the following groove over. In my mind (and I thought it used to do this) the fill should just (by default) load in reverse from the next piece of information, thus fitting the last beat of the fill in. I could have sworn that SD3 used to do this?
Hi,
no such setting. You can drag the fill to an empty space and trim it before you either drag it or cut it +paste it at the playhead. If your Song Track is too crowded for an Edit operation, you can create another Song Track for editing and then Cut from there and paste onto the first.
