Is it worth installing the Additional Bleed SD3 download?
I don’t have much space left on my laptop but I do have space on an external drive. I noticed that with the exception of the Surround Sound Library which I’m choosing not to download, all my products were previously installed onto my MacBook Pro laptop. I don’t know enough about SD3 to know yet, whether I will benefit from the Additional Bleed download but would like to be ready to use it if need it.
Is it advisable to have Additional Bleed on an external drive but everything else on my MacBook? If it is advisable to download it, how do I change the installation path. I noticed that it is currently set up to download to my MacBook and it’s over 50+ Gigs so I need to change the path but not sure how to do it. Thank you in advance.
I don’t think you can have additional bleed in a separate place from the rest of the pack.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
Thank you. Makes sense in a way. I only have 60G left on my 500G laptop but I have tons of space left on my external hard drive. What this would mean is that I should consider downloading the entire library of sounds onto my external hard drive just for the sake of including this ‘Additional Bleed’ library.
Can anyone tell me how much value they get from downloading the ‘additional bleed’ library? I’m trying to judge if it’s worth worrying about this for now or if I should wait until I upgrade my computer.
Thank you.
One option would be to move your existing library to the external drive, then just download the the additional bleeds.
