It’s somewhat dependent on reference. I hear it very pronounced in a pair of bluetooth earbuds and one car, not so much in wired Apple Earpods and another car. It’s also more pronounced in the OH condenser channel than the OH dynamic channel. I tried the usual, checking if any meters were clipping, LPF, disabling any saturation/limiting plugs. Even tried Sooth2. Nothing worked. It’s a crackling, sizzling type of distortion. Not pleasant or cool.
I haven’t experienced any kind of distortion on my system. Post a preset with this issue.

With some more mixing, I seem to have gotten rid of the distortion in the other car. The cymbals are now pretty clean in earpods, sports earbuds, 2 cars, monitor speakers and 1 monitor headphones. Still noticeably crunchy in one bluetooth earbuds, and a slight sizzle in a 2nd pair of monitor headphones that seems to emphasize the highs. I’m guessing they do have a little sizzle to them, and it’s more pronounced on certain speakers (or maybe the cheap bluetooth earbuds are giving me what I paid for LOL). But at least it’s not as offensive as it was a few days ago.
