I just wrote this question in the Facebook-group-page.
Maybe I am doing something wrong but it does not seem to be possible anymore to spot a single note without getting all notes marked in a track.
Example: I take a Hihat-part – it was possible to select ONE note to change the volume or something else in this ONE note.
After having updated SD3 to version 3.2.6 this does not seem to be possible anymore. By selecting one note, I get the whole track – i. e. the whole Hihat-track marked and it’s only possible to change/ to edit the volume for all notes in that track.
Is there a mistake in the software or am I making a mistake and have to change my routines?
Thanks for your answers and best regards!
I think I see exactly what you are explaining as well. Here is a video showing the problem. It works if you use the velocity slider on the left side, but dragging the velocity slider in pane selects all notes.

Thanked by: Shaun Pena and Axel MeyerI can confirm that is a bug in 3.2.6. As Bryan found out, a workaround is to use the velocity slider instead of dragging the node.

Thanked by: roland ratAlso, on windows 10, I can use control/click on note/s and then be able to adjust that way. Maybe they thought they were adding a feature? Not sure, but that is now two possible workarounds.
Also, I haven’t used this in a while: Were you not ever able to use the mousewheel for controlling the mixer faders or scrolling left/right? I can’t do this if it’s supposed to work that way.

Again !
One problem solved and a new one created !
Are we going to wait another month for this fix as well ?

I’m so glad I found others having this problem – I thought I was losing my mind for a second. I appreciate the 2 workarounds, but I sincerely hope this gets fixed ASAP.
Me too! A right pain in the ears.
You also can press Shift while selecting a note. Then you are able to edit just one note.

Thanked by: Lobstafari and Taime DowneIt seems that they have introduced a few issues with Edit Play Styles/Grid Editor. I have managed to get erratic behaviour, up to and including crashing, moving the Power Hand around a few times in a groove.
is anyone actually testing these things before releasing a new version? QA is definitely asleep at the wheel.

Same problems here!!! Better get this fixed pronto!!!!!

Oh no not again !
I doubt there is any thorough testing before releasing a new version ! In fact these new bugs poping up after each new version proves they don’t !
The idea of SD3 is brilliant and so is most of the package but the GUI and editing handling is way off and not on par with the rest !
I have suggested more than a few improvements but Toontrack doesn’t seem to care at all !
Toontrack could learn a thing or two from Adobe Photoshop and Presonus Studio One regarding editing functions.
They are probably working on SD4 as we speak 😉

Yeah I have a feeling that some of the long standing requests (like ability to rearrange mixer channels, issues in above thread, fixing hi-hat articulation transitions etc) are likely to be in SD4 and not fixes applied to SD3 !! maybe I’m too cynical ??

Well SD2 came out in 2008 and SD3 in 2017 so hopefully SD3 will last another 5 years !
I won’t be buying SD4 if I don’t see any major improvements in the editing function department of SD3 in the near future !
SD3 definitely needs an overhaul regarding the editing function for an improved workflow !

I really don’t like the new behavior of changing the velocity of all notes when only one note is selected. For me this is a bug and I would like to downgrade to the previous version which worked fine. Hopefully I can still download the previous version in my account.
Toontrack, can you please restore the old behavior?
Uninstall broken version 3.2.6. Then reinstall version 3.2.4 which works fine. Luckily, this is still available in my account.
