The Midi groove blocks in SD have been misbehaving since the latest update (3.2.5)
Before this update, when I would insert a midi groove block into an empty space between two grooves in the songs timeline, the block I was inserting would fit smartly and neatly into the empty space while leaving the preceding and following blocks alone. It would not overwrite the other blocks if it was placed onto an empty space.
Since the update, inserting a groove will now insert the entirety of the block onto the timeline overwriting all other grooves in it’s path. The groove blocks no longer slot neatly into an empty space. Dropping them into a space just lays out the entire midi clip and regardless of where I place it, anything around it gets overwritten by the new block.
I had been happily using superior drummer for over a year now and this new problem really effects it’s ease of use and seriously slows down the workflow I once enjoyed.
I tried reverting to an earlier version (3.1.7) but received a notification that the SD sound library would only work with the latest version of SD so I had to reinstall the latest version again.
The problem persisted.
My hope is that there might be some fix for this new behavior in the options settings .
That there may be some way to make newly inserted blocks recognize and stop short of overwriting the blocks that they slot between in the way that they used to just prior to this latest update.
So far, I haven’t seen anything in the settings that changes this behavior.
Any help would be much appreciated.
