When I have my SD3 Window focused in Reaper, some keyboard shortcuts for it are not working. Instead of Command-Z undoing what I am doing in SD3, it is instead applying to Reaper, even though my SD3 window is focused. Also in grid editor, Option-Up or Down is not moving my notes like it does in other DAW’s. I have my SD3 preference set to allow shortcuts within DAWs obviously, but I have only run into this issue while using Reaper. Any suggestions?
I am a Reaper user, but I barely use any keyboard shortcuts with my plug-ins. Anyway, I think that even if you have your SD3 preferences set to allow shortcuts within DAWS, you should also set Reaper’s FX/VSTi window to send all keyboard data to the plugin (there’s an option for that – as I said above, I barely use it, but I have to toggle it on whenever I want to, say, type a new preset name in an instrument in order to save it). Aren’t you forgetting to set Reaper to send all of your computer keyboard keys & commands to the active instrument? – Just saying…

Thanked by: SpirosAwesome, I will try this. I’ve only been using Reaper for a few weeks…still trying to get the hang of everything!
I have the same problem. I wish to use the specific keyboard shortcuts in SD3 when in Reaper. How exactly do I override the default settings in Reaper so that SD3 VSTi recieves the input instead of Reaper?
