Is it possible to use the Tracker module and have no modifications to the tempo or timing? I want to simply layer Toontrack drum samples over my existing recorded drum track and do not want to make any changes to the tempo or timing. Thanks.
Yes. The way I use it is either drag or import the file I want it to track. In my case it is usually the snare and the bass drum. I make sure SD3 will follow host and then your good. The problem can arise when there are tempo changes. What I do is to enable midi out and create a midi track in my DAW with no output (I use Cubase) and record from the midi out of SD3. I then disable the tracker and use the recorded midi to play SD3 (careful not to create a loop so I disable SD3 midi out) I can then render to audio.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
