I have been using MODO Bass for years and decided today to give EZBass a try since an industry friend of mine raved about the fretless bass. So I dropped a couple of hundred bucks and have spent the past several hours trying to get this EZBass plugin to play in the same key I wrote my MIDI bass line in. I give up so I am hoping someone here can help me. EZbass does this no matter if it is inserted on a Pro Tools instrument track with the MIDI written on the instrument track or if the MIDI is imported into the plugin. It is consistently playing a whole step down from the original pitch as defined in the MIDI file. I can adjust the pitch up two semitones within the plugin but then the keyboard in EZbass if off by a whole step. This makes it frustrating to edit and makes absolutely no sense. Can EZbass not follow MIDI pitch as inputed into the plugin? Please help.
Did you set the key in EZ Bass to match your key before you loaded the MIDI in?

Yes, and it changes my MIDI notes from the original to notes in a different key. It still will not play in the right key. I eventually ended up playing the original file, through modo bass, and recorded it into EZbass and it worked. Still, there should be a way for EZBass to play a note for note MIDI file in the key it was written without having to set a particular key in EZBass.
I am having a similar issue with EZ Bass. If I drop the midi into the DAW track and then add the plugin later, it’s all good. If I drop the midi into the EZ Bass as a plugin or as a stand alone it is cutting a specific part of my track every time. The notes just aren’t there every time the track comes up to the chorus. This only occurs with this plugin, I am unable to duplicate the issue with other plugins both native and third party.
