    Hi,

if you put the Tracked MIDI on the SD3 Song Track and have SD3 ‘Follow Host’, doesn’t that work?

No idea what causes the long MIDI note, does it look that long when on the SD3 Song Track you enter the Grid Editor?

    BR,
    John

    Hi John, thanks for replying.

It only follows the host while still in Tracker Mode / Window view.

No matter how I export (regardless of how I set the tempo export options) when i put the midi file within the song track of SD, it’s off… even if I tell SD to follow host it starts going off within a measure.

I tried exporting a MID track and import that into Cubase… nope.

I’ve also read enough threads in this forum to see I’m not the only one who’s encountered this issue… since 2017: https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/make-tracker-exports-follow-tempo-in-the-daw/

This is why I started recording the tracker’s performance. And it works… with the exception the long MIDI note.

And no, the long MIDI notes in the DAW are not long within the Grid Editor of SD3.

Have you tried selecting a MIDI drum map (even just the GM drum map) on the Cubase MIDI track? It will display with drum diamond hits and not legato notes

Scott, THAT is an awesome tidbit I didn’t know about- thank you. It still shows legato within the editor, but I’m OK with that.

It is still a mystery why the MIDI track shows legato in the first place. 🙂

Chad, did you try to Export a MIDI file from Cubase with the Tempo and Time signature mapped for importing into SD3?

Which version number is displayed in the SD3 plug-in interface (lower left corner)?

    John

    Hi John,

I did try that, too, and it didn’t work. I wonder if this is something I should have done before editing/adding anything within Tracker. I’ve got four more songs within this project and I’m going to try that in the next song.
