Hi,
All of a sudden Superior Drummer 3 is causing Logic Pro X not to load. My version of Superior Drummer 3 is 3.2.4 and Logic Pro X is 10.16.1. I am running the latest version of Catalina 10.15.7.
I can launch SD3 by itself with no issues.
I am attaching the crash logs. Hope that helps.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
Ron
You may have a either a corrupt Logic or SD3 project. A simple test is to launch Logic holding down Option and then creating an empty project. From there create a new instance of SD3 and save it and then quit and re-launch. If it loads, then there’s your answer and we can look at things from there.

Hi Jord,
Thanks for the suggestions.
It looks like it is a corrupt Logic file. If I open a new Logic file and the add SD3 everything operates normally. Logic works normally under relaunch.
I tried the original files I was having problems with and it still would not open. I eventually got the file to open by using an older Project Data file. At that point I recreated all of the changes that I lost (none of which are SD3 related). I saved again. Tried launching Logic again and it failed again with an error saying, “Logic Pro quit unexpectedly while using the Superior Drummer 3 plug-in.
Thanks,
Ron
What you can try to do is go into your fresh Logic file and from there open the media Browsers tab. Click on “All Files” and navigate to your old project and try to open it in the browser. If it opens, attempt to import what you can from the project except SD3 and save. Quit and re-launch to see if everything opens.

Hi Jord,
I did what you suggested and reimported everything except for SD3. I had an earlier version of the song. I went into SD3 (earlier version) and backed the drum track up that way. I then went back into the new file and imported the drum track I had just saved. Everything now works perfectly.
Thanks so much for all the help!
Ron
