I purchased a midi pack from them and all the grooves show up in EzDrummer 2 as 2000 Bars length so obviously this creates tons of blank space which is tedious to delete and resave as a new groove. Anyone have a fix or at least having this issue too?
(I’m aware there is a similar topic with some replies on the superior thread, but since TT have limited access to people who own superior I can’t read the relies there which might resolve the issues for me.
The same issue here using EZDrummer3…

EZdrummer version: 3.0.5
Operating system: macOS Big Sur (11)
One of the solutions I read about was to use this service: https://www.midiremap.com/
Mac Studio M1 Max, RAM 64 GB, 1TB Drive, OSX 12.x/13.x and Windows 10 (VM)
DAW: Studio One Pro (always up to date)
DTX Express III (Extreme triggers), Nektar LX88
OWC Thunderbay Mini (4 X 1TB Sata SSD), Express 4M2 (4 X 2TB M.2 SSD), Envoy Express (1TB M.2 SSD)
Presonus Quantum, Faderport & Faderport 8
Black Lion Sparrow Mk2 A/D, FMR-RNP-RNC, MIDI Xpress 128, BM5A, KRK VXT4, Equator D5
2020 Macbook Pro 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Audio(mobile rig)
Thanks Brad.
I was more hoping for a Toontrack soluution since the loops open fine to the correct length in Logic for example, so it appears to be an issue in EZdrummer.
Help me toontrack, you’re my only (unless I want to pay others to fix an issue with your product) hope….
In the other thread mentioned above there seems to be an issue with some of the GGD packs and not others which seems to indicate an issue with the MIDI pack and not the Toontrack drum sampler. Please contact GGD to see if they have an update with your specific GGD MIDI pack.
This is a quote from the other thread:
“GGD support told me, those packs were designed for the GGD environment exclusively (which is bulls***t in my opinion) but recommended to convert them via https://www.midiremap.com/ which turned out to be quite helpful.”

Anyone found other “fixes” for this?
Coming back to music for the first time in ages and noticing this issue again. If I drag the midi loop into Logic Pro it happily shows it as 8 bars long, yet EZ drummer still shows it as 1000 bars long.
Still sounds like a Toontrack issue to me.
It’s not a Toontrack issue. The problem is the metadata and the fact that there is no standard. IOW, developers are free to use it as they see fit.
GGD just happens to be using metadata that conflicts with how Toontrack uses it.
Only reason you won’t see an issue in logic is because logic doesn’t have any use for that particular metadata so it gets ignored.

Thanks, that’s really helpful info.
Don’t suppose you happen to know what metadata I should be looking write a script to strip out ?
cheers

Write a script to find whatever keys intersect between GGD and Toontrack and erase that data.
