I’m trying to setup SD3 as a plugin to work with my Millenium MPS-850 in Studio One 5. Tried setting it up as a new instrument, when I hit the drums, Studio One registers…something, as indicated by the bar next to the track, also the GUI in SD3 indicates it, cymbals moving etc. But I can’t get any sound, and when I try to record something, the MIDI notes don’t show up as recorded. Please help. Much appreciated.

Millenium MPS-850
Hi there,
Go back into Studio One preferences > External Devices and set your Millenium MPS-850 as a “keyboard”. I know that sounds odd, but it’s Studio One’s way of saying you want to get MIDI input from this device.
When you create an instrument you are telling studio one that you are connecting to an external sound module or synth that you will be getting audio from it.
Create a new session. Drag the SD3 plug-in into the workspace and it should create a new instrument track. Make sure the input is set to “All Inputs” or your Millenium MPS-850.
