    Do they show in the browser of EZD2 or S3? Which Toontrack sampler are you using?

    Works with EZdrummer, EZdrummer 2, Superior Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3 (optimized for 1 kick, 1 snare, 2 toms, 1 floor tom, 2 crash cymbals, 1 ride cymbal).

    Hello Scott,

    What I see in the Toontrack Product Manager is Monster MIDI Pack 4 Fills Odd Meters. All of the items listed  (download, install, and update) are checked. The problem that I am having is not being able to access any sounds from the midi files that are in my contents folder. When I click on the play button inside each midi file, a circle spins around a pause button symbol. If I drag one of the midi files into Garageband I don’t get any sound from the file.

    MIDI files don’t contain any sounds. They are MIDI data. They require a drum sound instrument for playback. EZD2 or S3 are sound instruments that are required to play back the MIDI files.

    Hello Scott,

     

    Thank you for educating me about the difference between midi files and audio files. I now understand that the Toontrack files are midi file and can be utilized with GarageBand if I make sure that they are only midi information that must be triggered by an external sound source. My question is about the Monster Midi Pack 2 Odd Meters. Do any of the files contain a complete drum kit playing each odd meter ? So far it sounds like I only have separate hi-hat patterns and drum fills.

    The MONSTER MIDI PACK 2 ODD METERS pack should have complete drum grooves yes. Pack 4 is fills.

    What drum instrument are you sending the MIDI to since you don’t have EZD2 or S3? Is the MIDI mapping correct to play the Toontrack grooves?
