I have a Roland kit that I play and record with While using EZ Drummer. ( I don’t use the midi packs) I just bought Nashville EZX because I herd good things. It is pretty sick. My question is I’m using the black beauty snare with it ( 6×14) and it sounds sweet! It’s got a nice fat sound to it. But my question is it doesn’t always produce that nice fat sound. It kinda alternates in a way to like thinner / louder sounds, Almost like a rim shot but not. I understand there trying to make it realistic (Feel of a human playing) but is there a way to get that fat awesome sound that I hear on some snare strokes the whole time. I saw on the details , they have it labeled Middle snare hit and alternate snare hit. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it. Is there another ezx with a different black beauty I should get. I’m recording rock music. I’m going for a Dave grohl / Taylor Hawkins/ pearl jam sound. Something like that. Thank you
If you’re only triggering, and not using as a sequencer…
Menu>Settings>SoundEngine>Humanize>Off
If that’s not acceptable, you need to confirm with Toontrack support whether you’re out of options or not.

Thanks for your reply, I’m not 100 % sure what triggering is. I basically play the drums live with my roland and use EZ DRUMMER/ Nashville.
As in you only use your edrum kit to trigger the sounds of EZD2. And not use EZD2 as a sequencer. Turning Humanize off sounds pretty bad if you’re not constantly sending different velocities to it. Did it work to your standards?
I’m surprised this snare was implemented like this without being able to turn it off beside with Humanize. For any other onlookers. It doesn’t appear that this can be fixed by changing the Edit Play Style snare Articulation either.

So I believe the default setting is for humanizing to be on. I never touched that setting. I’m pretty sure it’s on. But yea I use Reaper as my DAW. My brother plays guitar and we record music. He’ll record the guitar and then I record the drums with my roland into reaper. I play the drums live just like a regular acoustic set. But I use EZ Drummer and I just bought Nashville. And I’m having that issue with the black beauty. Thanks for your replies ! It’s only the snare drum where I’m have that sound change. Everything else is great
