Only on particular Library Presets in certain EXZs.

EZD2 doesn’t have the amount of functionality of the Toontrack’s flagship, Superior Drummer 3. SD3 can isolate instruments and add envelope dynamic effects to dampen or shorten the decay of an instrument.

You could consider only using the EZX Library Presets (the “drums” FX module on the “Distorted” Library Preset included with the EZD2 stock Modern Kit for example) that includes a dampening effect, or consider cross-grading to SD3 if this is an essential workflow for you. Alternatively with workarounds, you could figure this out by exporting stems or routing EZD2 out to your DAW, and treating you isolated tracks/busses from there with dynamic effects.

Can’t think of any other possible way to achieve dampening from my experience in this situation.
