Tap2Find only records 2 measures, that is the limit.

Use the Songtrack instead for recording your loops. The main difference besides you being able to record as long of a loop as you want, is you have to quantize after you record, not automatically.

Thanks Snootie.  So, Im not sure what you mean by Songtrack.  If you mean Song Creator, then I see as building bits into a cohesive song with chorus, pre-chorus bridge etc except none of those parts are exactly what Im looking for you know?  Even when I am adjusting the hits and what-not.  Its in the end better to just write it in Logic.  What Im looking to do is longer figure, say 16 bars, so there can be more variation on the moves, 2 measures is too short and ends up being too simple.  So what I have found myself doing is arduously building a drum track in Logic, with one track the kick and snare, one the high hat, and so forth.  It sucks and is mostly unworkable or at least takes just a lot of time.  But I mean maybe thats just the way I mean a preset is only going to get me so far… but I mean I also think I could be missing something that I just dont know exists…. I see so many posts of people who cnt get stuff to work I wonder if they could make this easier to use or is that just me making them wrong?  Its a constant struggle…. I mean maybe there is a thing called Songtrack and I just havent found it, seen it, or loaded it correctly who knows?

The Song Track is what Toontrack calls it’s main timeline where you build your song.

I assumed by your original question that you’re literally tapping out beats in Tap2Find and saying you didn’t like the two measure limitation. And my solution is for you to record in the Songtrack instead, which has no limit. It just has a different process for quantizing.

Douglas, this program can do a crazy amount of stuff, it depends on how much time you’d like to put into it.

Most problems I see on this forum are technical/bugs.

I typically try to answer questions and not shamelessly plug my videos, but you need to see what people are doing with this program. Consider the link I have below in my signature. I have a video for every feature in this program. Or add me on discord and I can spend some of my downtime chatting “Shootie School#5896”.

    Good luck on your endeavors.
