Merging Parts Problem in SD3

Hellos! I’m having ongoing problems merging parts. When I right click and merge parts quite often the final merged part overwrites everything else in the track. In this example, i’m just trying to merge the 8 small parts selected, notice the final result it has overwritten the whole part …
Any reason for this that I’m missing?
Has been happening since I’ve had SD3 just have been putting up with it (and not merging sections!)
Superior Drummer 3 version: 3.2.3
Operating system: macOS Catalina (10.15)
