Logic Pro 10.6 has created a problem which another user also highlighted within another post so I figured this required its own topic.
In the current version of Logic and EZkeys when you drag the midi into Logic it creates two tracks — one empty the other the imported midi. Neither are the track you are trying to place the imported midi on either.
Other user posted this: Since Logic 10.6, when I drag&drop midi regions it puts two tracks, the actual midi is one track below. I would appreciate if you could fix this issue.
Toontrack– please look into this and update us.
Same here. I bought EZKeys today and I’m running into the same issue. I tested it on both Catalina and Big Sur on 2 different machines so it’s definitely within Logic/EZKeys.
Yes indeed. Another instance of this issue.
Creation of 2 software instrument tracks.
Oddly they are not EzKeys tracks but sampler tracks and they always have a Steinway Grand selected as instrument.
Not really what I’m after
I am running Logic 10.6 on Catalina 10.15.7
I’m having the same problem too. When I drag midi from EZKeys to Logic it is putting the midi on the track below which is an EZBass track. I’m not having any issues with drag and drop from EZDrummer or EZBass just EZKeys.
exactly the same problem…overlays onto existing tracks and creates crossfade as well..
Would be good to get this fixed – its getting annoying!
Ezkeys fully up to date / Logic 10.6 / Catalina
Hi guys, I’m trying to reproduce. I’m using EZkeys 1.3.0 on MacOS 10.15.7 with Logic Pro 10.6.0.
Does this happen when dragging from the Song Track, the MIDI Browser or both?

John

John, for me it’s only when dragging from the song track. The browser works correctly. I’m on Big Sur.
Same for me John, Browser dragging is fine, Attached image of result when dragging from the EK song track
OK, thanks for your replies, I’ll forward this to my colleagues.

I am seeing the same thing as pictured above when dragging from the EZ Drummer 2 app to a Logic Pro X track.
I do not have this happen in Cubase or Studio One 4. Or when using Superior Drummer 3
This is also a rather recent issue as I see I created an EZ drummer 2 track in Logic on Nov 5th. with no problems.
Imac running Catalina 10.15.7
It’ll be interesting to see the fix.
God Bless.

Ooops, I am seeing the drag and drop issue on both EZ Keys and EZ Drummer 2. I only referenced EZ Drummer in the above post.
I just read Carl’s comment that he sees the problem on EzDrummer2 also.
that’s a bit disappointing. I just spent $500 during black friday for a bunch of Toontrack software that apparently I can’t use properly.
How about it guys. Pay a little overtime and lets get it fixed???
Same issue with me today. It appears that EZ KEYS has a hiccup that is a little aggravating. Been using it for a few years and was ok. This problem needs addressed.
Hi,
I’ve been told by one of the programmers that the issue will be fixed in the next update. I have no ETA for that, though.
Thank you for your patience,
John
