Hi there,
I’m having the same problem as some of you guys with the ringing toms in EZdrummer, but I noticed that in the Nashville sound expansion there’s a sustain toms knob in the mixer section that seems to help out a lot.
Now I’m wondering if there are more expansions that have that option, and if so which are they.
I’m really very happy with Ezdrummer but I also really don’t like the decay of those toms.
Are there users out there with some tips and tricks on how they deal with it?
And maybe someone knows of ezx expansions that don’t have those ringing toms straight out of the box? That would help me a lot.
thanks a lot
D
I mix in my DAW and bus the toms to their own DAW mixer channels and use a transient designer plugin to adjust tom ring if needed. Also a parametric eq can hone in ringing and cut it also.

Thanked by: DavesbandHello Scott,
Thanks for the quick response.
That’s what I am doing currently, but I just found out there was such a knob in the Nashville expansion and also in the modern kit and the kit from ezdrummer 1, and that makes it a lot more EZ for me 🙂 , but the Rock or drumkit from hell expansions for example doesn’t have that .
Do you by any chance know which “rock oriented” expansions have such a parameter?
thanks
