I just purchased EZBass and successfully installed it in my PC. My DAW runs at 32 bit and EZBass runs at 64 bit. Is there a way to install EZBass at 32 bit?
I also have EZkeys and EZDrummer and I installed both of those at 32 bit.
what are my options here so I don’t disrupt my whole operation.
Toontrack’s latest plugins, EZbass and S3, are 64-bit only plugins. The older plugins, EZD2 and EZkeys, are both 32-bit and 64-bit.

Some DAWs, like Reaper, I believe, allow you to run mismatching plug-ins in a seperate process, this is normally done through the DAW ‘settings’, ‘prefences’, ‘options’ or similar, you will need to check your manual. Once set you just use it as normal. In Reaper for instance this is in ‘preferences/plug-ins/compatability’ where you select an option for ”VST bridging/firewalling’.
Or you can use something like JBridge – https://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/ – or someother similar program.
Of course the best option is to upgrade to a 64bit DAW that will also give you access to almost unlimited memory (including virtual mem not just physical RAM) unlike with a 32bit DAW where you are limited to just over 3G.
I have Mixcraft Pro Studio 8 and I don’t remember why I installed it as 32 bit. I’m sure I have the option of running it at 64 bit and I think my best bet is reinstall it and run it as such. I just wanted to know if there was a simple solution to my problem.
Probably the best bet if you have the option as a lot of stuff is now going to be x64 only.
I have mixcraft pro studio 8 and couldn’t get it to work at all and obviously spent a chunk of money. Not sure if I could sell it somehow but i’ll have to look into it. pretty bummed.
