Hi, everyone. Can anyone get Audio Sender to work for live input in Logic Pro?
The plug-in works correctly if there’s an actual pre-recorded audio file in my Logic track (I can play my session and the plug-in sends that audio to Audio Tracker inside of EZbass), but I cannot play my guitar live and have that audio sent.
What I was hoping to do was play my Logic Pro session, record-enable my guitar track, and play a bass line into EZBass. Audio Sender shows ‘Not sending’ but it is connected. When I press play in Logic, EZBass doesn’t go into record mode, and when I finish it says ‘No audio received.’
My setup:
macOS 10.15.6
Logic Pro 10.5.1
UAD Apollo X4
EZbass v1.0.6 (latest version)
Audio Sender v1.0.4 (latest version)
There is audio getting to Logic – the meters move on the track when I play, and I can record into Logic – that signal just doesn’t make it to EZbass (which is being used as a plug-in in Logic, not standalone.
I’m a longtime Logic user, but relatively new with Toontrack, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi! Do you have “Input Monitoring” turned on on the channel that you have Audio Sender on? If not, the audio will never reach the Audio Sender plugin and it will not have anything to send to EZBass.
I will also add that if you have any input latency it’s better to first record audio to a track and then send the recorded audio to EZBass with the Audio Sender. This is because the DAWs usually have some input latency compensation that they apply after the recording is finished, and that’s something that the Audio Sender can’t know anything about. But if you don’t notice any input latency that’s all fine, just go ahead and record straight into EZBass.

Thanked by: cjeichHi. I replied to Toontrack support, but I figured I’d put the answer here for others.
To answer Stefan’s questions, yes – Input Monitoring was enabled on the track, however I use a UAD audio interface and so have been using UAD Console as the front end and monitoring section in Logic. To do this, I turned off ‘Software Monitoring’ which is required for traditional input monitoring to work, Once I enabled it, EZBass was functioning as expected. This is found in Preferences > General.
Thanks to the Toontrack support team for getting back to me so quickly on this one!
I am having the same problem as described above. I can see audio in the meters for the plugin, but I can’t get the plugin to show that it’s connected to EZ Bass. Per the thread above, I have tried this with Software Monitoring on / off, and Input Monitoring on / off.
