Hello,
It seems that the tap 2 find feature on EZDrummer 2 match the results only to the specific drums.
For example if I tap something with Bass and Snare, it will match result that use bass and snare in similar beat.
Is that right? Maybe I’m missing something.
If so, it would be a great addition to make it also work without relating to the specific drums tapped.
Why? It will be a lot easier for noobs like me (I hardly know the drum names tbh).
I have some groove/beat in my head that I try to find, but what I don’t have in my head is which drums play each part.. So if it could match results that fits the groove/beat with just about ANY drum plays each part, it would be great as it will give me many options that may fit.
Right now, because I don’t know the drums that plays each part, it hard for me to make this feature work.
Of course it could be optional, in addition to how it works today.
Thanks!
You’re correct.
You have a cool idea.

You’re correct with your original question. That’s how it works.
I never would have thought about the feature you’re requesting, it’s actually a good idea.
If you’re new to easy drummer, the workflow will come quickly if you stick with it.
You could tap a general rhythm in tap2find on a single instrument, check your results, and then simply change the instrument of your rhythm with edit play style, and search again.
If you’re looking for a guide as opposed to trying to figure it out, try this Tap2Find video or this Edit Play Style video. These are the tools you’ll want to understand when finding, creating, or manipulating the toontrack midi files. Watching other people work through the program might help you understand it’s workflow and make you more productive in EZD2.
