when I create an instrument track & choose superior drummer multi out as the instrument , ezdrummer opens instead. why?

Superior Drummer 3 version: 3.1.7
Operating system: macOS Catalina (10.15)

Hard to tell without any real details. Perhaps post a video.

SD3 as a multi instrument out is working without issue in logic here
