To add a future hit instrument groove to your existing groove, drag it from the groove part area onto your groove. This actually applies to any groove, to allow you to mix and match to create new grooves.

Is there a setting which needs to be set first? If I take a shaker Groove and drag it down to the SD3’s track view, hover it over an existing drum-groove and let it go, the drum-groove gets split into this, so the shaker gets its own space inbetween the 2 drum-groove parts.

    Hey Morten,

Check the Grooves Parts header in this chapter of the manual:

Basically, when you drag from the search results it replaces on a block level. If you drag individual groove parts, it instead only replaces the notes within a block associated with the instrument you’re selecting.

    Hi Morten,

I think the easiest way to add e.g. a Tambourine Pad groove to a drum groove on your Song Track would be double-clicking the groove in question to open the Edit Play Style, select the Tambourine Pad and then use the Amount knob t o dial in how you want your hits added.

If you search for Tambourine Pad grooves in the Grooves window, you can drag one down to the Song Track, copy it and then right-click the other groove block and select ‘Paste on selected Block(s)’.

    BR,
    John
