I apologise because you’re going to get the grumpy old man response from me on this one Phil…

Since you answered your own question (yes, of course it is about how it sounds – and how easy it is to get the sound you want) the image is only self serving.

Compare that to a black, cherry red, or burst Fender Strat – or in my case natural blonde with tortoiseshell pick guard – and again: It’s all about how it sounds – but in this case you’re much more attached to the guitar and if you play live that colour may need to match other things. EZBass I’m pretty sure doesn’t have to do that.

If you really want to graffiti your EZBass then take a screenshot, plug it into photoshop and have at it. I’d rather the team worked on making the best instrument models and software they can – not a Microsoft Paint wannabe.

“Plug it into photoshop and have at it”?

Absolutely no need for that at all. “Pre apology” or not.

Guitar is my main instrument and has been for the last 50 years btw. So yes I appreciate quite a few of the nuances.

This is not about devs wasting time it is the fact that they have taken it away. I was inquisitive as to why, since it can still be done on the drums.

If you feel so strongly that the interface is not important and should not be customisable, good for you, there is absolutely no need to rant at someone asking a genuine question.

The part of my post you ignored: “It creates an extra layer of interest for some users.” Which it certainly does, as I can warrant by the 1.7K plays on my short video explaining how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1oDU4XPBKo

Anyway, no need to reply further thanks. P.

Ok – not sure why a suggestion how you can scratch your graphic itch was taken so badly but so be it.

    Hey Phil,

Can you PLZ tell me or show me how I can change my skins from my EZD2 drums from black to something else in SD3…if that’s possible??

    Thx, Jeff

Because it doesn’t work like that at all. If you see my video you will see that it was indeed possible to do it this way but the graphics files have been removed and compiled into a single unreadable file.

nb. Your post was rude and conformational and you know it. That is why you attempted to apologise in advance and also ended it with “Grump over”. Pointless and not at all helpful in any way.

We checked that previously, it looks like it is not possible. Only the background can be edited, which many have done. Just look in the installation folder for graphics. 🙂

Rude?!? And not sure what you mean by conformational – care to elaborate? Geez Phil, if you think my response was rude I hope you never provoke anyone into really throwing something rude at you. My apologies for rattling your senses but since the whole point of EZbass is to make music, not art, I don’t understand what you’re so rattled about.

Hey Phil was finally able to tackle this tonight but all I’m able to do is changed the SD3 background (which is cool).

Can you walk me thru changing the ezx’s in SD3… Is that possible?

    Thx, Jeff

Don't leave me hanging Phil.... Is it possible now to change the background of the EZX'S in SD3? ☺️
