Hey, all!
Thanks for being such a supportive group…
I have The Alesis Strike Pro Special Edition with the latest firmware installed (V.1.50). I use EXdrummer2 as my sound library using a Mio MIDI cable going from my module to the USB input of my Macbook (EZdrummer 2 is also up to date). Two months ago, the hi-hat in my EZ drummer plugin started triggering open strokes as soon as I would plugin my mio cable. I’ve even tried using my seperate audio interface to make sure it wasn’t the cable. The same issue occurred. I’ve reset my module and EZdrummer with no avail. I’m sure it’s an easy fix, but any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi,
have you tried connecting your hardware before launching EZdrummer 2? Are you using the Alesis MIDI Preset in EZdrummer 2?

OK, do you have any other MIDI controller attached? Can there be any polarity switch flipped on your hardware?

No, sir. The only MIDI controller that is available to be used from my module is the Mio…Even When I plug straight in from the module to the laptop via USB printer cable I get the same issue. My module never shows that the hi hat is being hit when this occurs. Which makes me assume its software related? I could be wrong.
Well, my best bet would be checking if your Mio really is Catalina compatible or if there is software related to the hardware that needs updating?
Did you update your OS two months ago when this started happening?
I am also on Catalina but have not seen this happening, even with my old legacy MIDI hardware connected.

John
